In a remarkable display of commitment and leadership, the graduating members of the Huntington Youth Leaders program were honored at their recent graduation ceremony on March 11, 2024. Throughout the year, these exemplary students participated in various leadership sessions and spearheaded a community service project, showcasing their dedication to making a positive impact.
The graduation ceremony celebrated their achievements, with a focus on event observations and outreach projects throughout Huntington County. From brainstorming ideas to executing plans, the young leaders demonstrated exceptional teamwork, creativity, and leadership skills.
The community service projects included Impact and Give Back, Bee the Light, and Helping the Youth. All community outreach projects provided a great opportunity for students to give back in unique ways. Future HYL students will be inspired to continue showing the community how youth leaders can make a lasting impact.
Reflecting on the remarkable growth witnessed among the students, Mr. Harvey, one of two HYL program sponsors, remarked, "It's impressive to see these leadership skills develop at such a young age. These students have shown remarkable maturity throughout the program, and their ability to lead should give us all hope for the future of our community."
As the cohort of Huntington Youth Leaders bid farewell to the program, we were filled with pride and optimism for the future. Their journey through the program equipped them with essential leadership skills and a sense of responsibility toward their community.
Congratulations to all the graduating members of the Huntington Youth Leaders program. Your dedication, passion, and leadership are commendable, and we look forward to witnessing your continued success in the years to come.
