Huntington, IN – On August 12th, 2024, the Huntington County Community School Corporation (HCCSC) Public Board Meeting opened with a special celebration honoring the outstanding accomplishments of Alice Friesen, a student-athlete from Huntington North High School. Alice has brought immense pride to our school with her exceptional performance at the prestigious IHSAA State Track and Field Meet held on May 31st at Indiana University in Bloomington.

Competing in the 3200-meter run against the top runners from across the state, Alice achieved an incredible eighth-place finish with a remarkable time of 10:36:13. This extraordinary milestone is a testament to Alice's hard work, discipline, and perseverance. Her success reflects not only her dedication but also the unwavering support she has received from her coaches, teammates, and family.

The HCCSC Board expressed deep admiration for Alice, highlighting her as an inspiration to the entire community. Alice's journey serves as a powerful reminder that with passion, perseverance, and belief in oneself, anything is possible. The Huntington community is immensely proud of Alice's achievements and eagerly anticipates her future successes.
