Huntington, IN – Huntington North High School is excited to host the 2024 Walk for Hope on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This annual event, held at the HNHS Multi-Purpose Track, invites the community to come together to walk in memory of loved ones, raise awareness, and support efforts to prevent suicide.
Participants will have the opportunity to decorate luminaries in memory of someone special. The event encourages the involvement of families, businesses, churches, youth, and scout groups to unite in this cause.
The Walk for Hope is sponsored by local organizations including Bowen Center, Bippus State Bank, Intertech, Maple Heights Behavioral Health, and Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC. The goal for this year’s event is to collect pledges and donations totaling $10,000.
While the walk is open to everyone, please note that due to track rules, strollers and pets are not permitted. Attendees can also receive a T-shirt with a free-will donation, while supplies last.
