Student Athletes are required to share and disclose grades before competing. We will have 'grade checks' throughout the season. Students are expected to let us know if they are failing, or on the verge of failing so that we can assist them.
Students cannot practice with more than 1 F (failing grade) and cannot compete with 1 F (failing grade). We are students first, athletes second. We are here to support your academic AND athletic endeavors! If you need assistance with your coursework, we are here to help and find the resources to see that every student succeeds! We encourage students to come to practice to get the academic assistance they need.
"We take a 'student first - athlete second' approach where coaches and peers invite you into a space to collaborate and guide each other to be at our very best academically so we can be at our very best competitively. Grades and attendance are of the upmost importance and we are here to support you to see you succeed in all endeavors."

IEN offers two main organizations including IMSEN (Indiana Middle School Esports Network) and IHSEN (Indiana High School Esports Network). It provides a structured environment for students to engage in competitive gaming, offering leagues, tournaments, and other events. The network aims to foster a community of esports athletes, coaches, and schools by offering resources, support, and opportunities for competition.
Key aspects of the Indiana Esports Network include:
Competitive Leagues: IEN organizes and oversees various esports leagues where high school teams from across Indiana can compete in popular games such as Rocket League, Valorant, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Rules and Standards: The network sets the rules and guidelines for competitions, ensuring fair play and adherence to esports best practices. They also approve or disapprove certain peripherals and equipment for competitive play.
Community Building: IEN works to create a strong esports community by connecting students, coaches, and schools. They often host events, workshops, and networking opportunities to grow the esports scene in Indiana.
Educational Resources: IEN provides resources for schools to develop their esports programs, including guidance on starting teams, coaching, and integrating esports into the school curriculum.
By providing these opportunities and resources, the Indiana Esports Network plays a significant role in the growth and development of high school esports in Indiana.
